SCIF License Backups Privacy Policy
This policy applies to SCIF License Backups, the private VA Claim Buster administrative backup tool. It describes the configured backup workflow; publishing this page does not mean scheduled backups have been activated.
Data accessed and used
With the operator’s consent, the tool uses Google Drive’s drive.file permission. It creates encrypted license-ledger archives, reads metadata needed to verify its private backup folder and files, and downloads its archives to confirm integrity and recoverability. Archive contents can include license entitlements, owner identifiers, device registrations, and revocation history. It does not request unrestricted Drive access or collect customers’ VA claim documents or medical records.
Storage and protection
Ledger snapshots are encrypted before transfer to Google Drive. The recovery key is stored separately from the cloud archives. OAuth credentials and job state are kept in private operator-controlled storage. Google processes stored ciphertext and file metadata under its own service terms. Authorized VACB operators can decrypt archives for recovery and reconciliation.
Sharing and purpose limits
Google user data is used only for this backup and recovery function. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Hosting infrastructure processes the backup job and its private credentials. The monitoring service receives success, failure, or missing-job signals, not archive contents, recovery keys, or Google credentials.
Retention, removal, and revocation
The current worker has no automatic deletion policy: backups remain until an authorized operator removes them. Revoking access in Google Account permissions stops future authorized access but does not delete existing archives or local copies. To request removal or ask about retention, contact the operator using the address below.
